Welcome to the Middleville Gifted and Talented Education Program
Our program strives to provide opportunities and enriched experiences beyond the general education classroom. The goal of this website is to provide relevant information and resources relating to our district's population of gifted and talented students.
Mission Statement:
Middleville Public Schools Gifted and Talented Education Program's mission is to provide applicable and engaging positive learning opportunities where students are inspired to realize their self-worth through continuous growth in their many multiple intelligences with respect to their social and emotional development.
Philosophy:
Gifted and Talented students are those who perform at or have demonstrated the potential to perform at high levels in academic or creative fields when compared with others of their age, experience, or environment. These students require services not ordinarily provided by the general education program. Students possessing these abilities can be found in all populations, across all economic strata, and in all areas of endeavor. Gifted students may be found within any race, ethnicity, gender, economic class, or nationality. In addition, some students with disabilities are gifted.
